Arrival Information 2019

When can I check in?

You can check into your room from Thursday 29th August at 12 noon.

After this date, arrivals will be managed from 08:00 to 20:00 each day. If you arrive after this time, the Merville Reception is open 24/7 and the staff there will facilitate you with access to your room but you may need to complete arrivals centrally the following day.

Where do I check in?

If you are a resident of Belgrove, Ashfield, Glenomena, Merville, Roebuck Halls or Roebuck Castle, you must check in at the Central Arrivals Marquee in the Merville Residence.

If you are a resident of Blackrock Halls or Proby, you must check in at the Proby Reception on the Blackrock Campus.

What do I have do to before I come to check in?

Before you arrive at UCD, you must complete the following:

  1. Complete Online Induction
  2. Agree to your Licence to Reside
  3. Upload your UCARD photo
  4. Complete SISWeb Personal Details Registration (this includes next of kin, emergency contact etc.)
  5. Pay appropriate residential fees (See finance page)

What do I need to bring with me?

If you are a continuing student, you must bring your student card. If you are a new student, you must bring a valid form of photo ID, ie passport or driving license.

What is supplied in my apartment?

In your bedroom you will find a duvet, pillow and mattress protector. You will need to bring a bedsheet, duvet cover and pillow case.

You will need to bring your own plates, silverware and other kitchen utensils including pots, frying pans etc.

There will be ResLife buses to Ikea running throughout the week if you need to purchase any of the above items. Sign up will be available with your RAs at the Merville ResLife Hub during check in week.
