UCD Hockey Youth Academy Terms and Conditions

Terms & Conditions

  • No provisional bookings will be taken. All bookings must be made online. Places can only be secured on receipt of payment.
  • Places will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Children must come ready to train and bring their own water bottle, hockey stick, mouth guard, shin pads & rain gear as clinics will continue during rainy conditions.  No children will be allowed to enter the hockey pitch unless they have shinpads and a mouthguard. Please ensure that sun cream is applied and children have availed of toilet facilities before coming to UCD Hockey Youth Academy.  There will be a toilet facility available if needed
  • All participants need to be declared physically fit and able to participate in strenuous activities and attend this event.
  • There is a risk of injury involved in hockey participation. All reasonable precautions will be taken to avoid this and UCD cannot be liable for naturally occurring injury due to the ball or collisions.
  • All valuables must be left at home.
  • If a child is unwell they must not attend the UCD Hockey Youth Academy.  A parent/guardian will be contacted if their child becomes unwell during UCD Hockey Youth Academy and they must arrange for their immediate collection.
  • UCD Sport Facilities must be informed if your child has any allergies, dietary requirements or health/medical problems that may require special consideration or make them more susceptible to injury or illness during UCD Hockey Youth Academy at the time of booking.  If your child needs to take any medicine during UCD Hockey Youth Academy the parent/guardian must complete a ‘Medicine Consent Form’ and email it to the UCD Hockey Youth Academy Coordinator via (opens in a new window)hockeyyouthacademy@ucd.ie before the Friday prior to commencing UCD Hockey Youth Academy.
  • UCD Sport Facilities reserve the right to decline a booking on the basis that they may not be able to cater for your child’s particular needs due to restrictions on resources.  We are not able to keep lost property at the moment due to covid-19.
  • Under no circumstances will your child if a Primary School Student be released to another person for collection unless prior verbal/written permission is given to UCD Hockey Youth Academy Staff by the child’s parent/guardian.
  • Parent/guardian must make provisions for the collection of Primary School Children.
  • UCD Sport Facilities cannot accept responsibility for the care of children outside of the designated hours.

Refunds/Cancellations

  • UCD Sport Facilities reserves the right to cancel part of/or the entire programme with all payments refunded.
  • A full refund may be offered on medical grounds once a medical certificate is provided.
  • Cancellations received with a 14-day notice period or more will receive a refund of all fees paid minus a €50 admin fee.
  • Cancellations received with less than a 14-day notice are strictly non-refundable.
  • UCD Hockey Youth Academy reserves the right to suspend any child that is disruptive to the UCD Hockey Youth Academy due to misbehaviour or whose behaviour puts them or others at risk.

Data Protection

  • Your and your child’s data shall be stored and user in accordance with data protection legislation.
