Students of UCD can avail of the psychiatry service with Dr. Geoffrey O' Donoghue at Student Health.
The psychiatrist is available on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings.
In order to arrange an appointment the student must have a referral from one of the following:
1. The GP at Student Health.
2. A GP outside of Student Health.
3. A psychiatrist outside of Student Health.
4. A member of Student Counselling UCD.
There is an initial charge of €40 for the first consultation and €30 for follow up visits.

If you have been schedule for an appointment which will take place “face to face” in person with Dr O'Donoghue, please read the following instructions.
Please note you will need to wear a mask to attend the appointment.
When you arrive in the Student Center please use the self-check in pod & sanitiser take a seat & maintain social distance on the bench outside our door or on one of the red chairs outside of the double doors.
Dr O’Donoghue will come out to collect you.
If you have any of the following symptoms please do not attend, please stay home, and contact your GP. Also contact us to reschedule your appointment.
- Sore throat
- Difficulty breathing
- Dry cough
- Chesty cough
- Loss of taste or smell
- If you have been abroad in the last 14 days.
- If you have been in contact with a diagnosed or probable case of Covid within the last 14 days.
