UCD Volunteering Fair 2025
UCD’s Annual Volunteering Fair 2025 took place on the 15th of October at the O’Brien Centre for Science, drawing in over 500 students, staff, and members of the wider UCD community. The event featured participation from more than 18 organizations representing a wide range of causes, from community development and social justice to environmental sustainability and education.
The fair aimed to encourage students to engage with volunteering opportunities, helping them discover ways to make a meaningful impact while developing valuable personal and professional skills. Attendees had the chance to meet representatives from various organizations, learn about ongoing projects, and explore how they could contribute their time and talents.
Running parallel to the fair, the UCD Careers Network hosted an insightful talk on “The Importance of Volunteering for Your Career,” highlighting how volunteer work can enhance employability, build networks, and strengthen transferable skills.
Overall, the event successfully fostered a spirit of community engagement and showcased the vital role volunteering plays in shaping both personal growth and a more connected campus community.
