The 9th Experimental Archaeology Conference was held in Dublin, Ireland for the first time. This EXARC associated event was co-hosted by UCD School of Archaeology, University College Dublin and the Irish National Heritage Park at Ferrycarraig, Co. Wexford from Friday 16th through to Sunday the 18th of January 2015.

The first two days of the conference, Friday 16th and Saturday 17th January were held at UCD’s Moore Auditorium in the UCD O’Brien Science Centre (close to the heart of the campus) and the UCD Centre for Experimental Archaeology and Ancient Technologies at University College Dublin. Here, oral papers, posters presentations and demonstrations/live experiments took place from 16th-17th of January. On the final day of the conference, Sunday 18th January there was a field-trip to the (opens in a new window)Irish National Heritage Park where a range of experiments were displayed and Ireland’s most visited prehistoric and historic reconstructions was explored. An alternative field trip to the (opens in a new window)National Museum of Ireland's Archaeological Museum was available to those that could not make the trip to the Heritage Park.
