PhD student defended his thesis funded by BDIC scholarship

Dr Soumyabrata Dev's PhD student Mayank Jain has recently defended his PhD thesis. His research was funded by BDIC Scholarship.

Mayank Jain has successfully defended thesis titled "Facilitating the Inclusion of Photovoltaic Systems in Energy Grids" during his viva examination on 13th March 2024. The panel of examiners who rigorously evaluated Mayank's work were as follows: Prof Ulrich Bodenhofer from the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria, who served as the external examiner; and Prof Michela Bertolotto, who served as the internal examiner. Special thanks to Assoc Prof Mark Scanlon for ably chairing the viva and overseeing proceedings.
