The 118th European Study Group with Industry (ESGI-118) (posted 02/16)

Got an industry problem you need a mathematician or statistician to solve? UCD School of Mathematics & Statistics have the solution for you.

This summer the UCD School of Mathematics & Statistics will host the 118th European Study Group with Industry (ESGI-118). This week-long event will focus on finding solutions to problems, which companies across Ireland and other European countries have identified in their business. During the week of 4th to the 8th of July mathematicians and statisticians, from a wide range of backgrounds and from all over Europe, will work intensively on solving these real-world problems. Companies in areas such as Environment, Finance, Electronics, and Renewable Energy have all previously benefited from this brainstorming, collaborative effort.

We would like to invite companies to suggest problems to be included in ESGI-118.  Interested companies should contact the organising committee via email esgi@maths.ucd.ie

All mathematicians, statisticians, and computational scientists who are interested in taking part in ESGI-118 are also invited to register online on (opens in a new window)mathsci.ucd.ie/esgi118/

For information on problems presented on previous ESGI organised by UCD, please see: (opens in a new window)mathsci.ucd.ie/esgi/.

For further information you can contact the organising committee via email esgi@maths.ucd.ie.
