Game Changer 160616

Final year Statistics project, Game Changer, wins commercialisation award (posted on 16/06/16).

Game Changer, an early-stage venture resulting from a final year Statistics research project, has won a University College Dublin (UCD) commercialisation award.

The award resulted from the final year research project of BSc Statistics student, Emily Duffy, supervised by Dr. Claire Gormley. The research project was conducted in collaboration with Leinster rugby and resulted in Game Changer, a software platform which teams can use simply and quickly to assess player performance and to identify future players for recruitment and team selection. Game Changer was the overall winner of the 2016 UCD Insight Innovation Sprint Programme, a 1-day initiative designed and delivered by UCD’s technology transfer and enterprise development teams at NovaUCD.
