Taught Graduate Scholarships
School of Mathematics and Statistics is pleased to announce scholarship opportunities for graduate students on full time Masters programmes (or part time in the case of MSc Data Analytics). Applications for scholarships of up to €3,000 of tuition fees will be accepted.
Application process: no separate application is required. All eligible applicants who complete their programme application by 31st May 2017 will be considered for the scholarship.
The scholarship committee will assess all eligible candidates on their merits.
Successful applicants will be informed by 30th June 2017.
The School offers a very wide range of courses at all levels and across the mathematical sciences. There is a large amount of associated tutoring work, and we rely on our graduate students to act as tutors or demonstrators (in computer laboratories, for instance).
For graduate students this work may provide supplementary income, as well as invaluable experience - for their future careers - of teaching and dealing with students. Indeed, it is one of the requirements of PhD students in the School that they do a certain minumum amount of tutoring or teaching, as the skills acquired will be useful in whatever career they later take up.
