UCD was awarded University of Sanctuary status in 2018 and is proud to welcome Refugees, Asylum Seekers and those with Subsidiary Protection or Humanitarian Leave to Remain.

How do I apply?

How you apply depends on your eligibility for EU fees. If you are unsure of your fee status, please use our Fee Assessment eligibility reckoner to help you determine your fee status. Further information is available at the following link: www.ucd.ie/students/fees/eufeeassessment/

  • EU Fee Status:
    Application is made via (opens in a new window)the Central Applications Office (CAO).
  • Non-EU Fee Status:
    Application is made direct to UCD. Please contact UCD Global directly at www.ucd.ie/global/enquire/ for assistance with your enquiry and to find out further information about the international admissions process. UCD Global manages the admissions process for non-EU applicants. They will be delighted to assist you with your query.

Is there financial support?

If you wish to apply for financial support you should complete the form available through the Sanctuary Programme.

Ukrainian Applicants

We wish to express our solidarity with the people of Ukraine and with any students whose studies have been affected by the ongoing conflict.
