Felix obtained funding from the UCD Health Sciences Dissemination and Engagement Grant to attend the conference. AlgaEurope is the largest algae biotechnology conference in Europe with 100+ oral presentations, 150+ posters, round table sessions, and panel discussions covering a broad spectrum of topics within the micro and macro algae field, such as wastewater treatment, omics, physiology, food, and feed. Felix presented my poster titled "Nannochloropsis for the Bioremediation of Brewery Wastewater: Hyposaline Adaptation and Process Enhancement" to an international audience, which will soon be published. Ronald presented an overview of the work carried out by the UCD Algae Group (including Algaebrew), his presentation was entitled "Nannochloropsis for the valorisation of side streams from critical agri-food and energy sectors in Europe."
