ICSAR2025 – International Conference on Sustainable Aviation Research

The International Conference on Sustainable Aviation Research (ICSAR) is a prestigious global event that brings together experts from academia, industry, and policy sectors to discuss innovative technologies and solutions for decarbonizing aviation.

Jinghan Shi presented her work titled "Towards cost-competitive and low-carbon production of sustainable aviation fuels using microalgae: Research Overview." The presentation highlighted the cultivation of microalgae in digestate wastewater derived from biogas production; optimization of digestate pretreatment methods and nutrient concentrations to enhance algal growth and biomass yield; development of a cost-effective, low-carbon pathway for sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) production; and contributions to SAF development within a circular bioeconomy framework.
