About
The college Education and Training Group drives teaching and learning activities across the college and identifies synergies. The CHAS Education and Training Group is chaired by the CHAS Vice Principal for Teaching and Learning, Professor Jonathan McNulty, and membership consists of Associate Deans for Teaching and Learning across the College.
Collaborative Interdisciplinary Teaching and Learning Grants
The College of Health and Agricultural Sciences Collaborative Interdisciplinary Teaching and Learning Grants aims to foster collaboration between educators in at least two CHAS schools.
The goal is to enhance the educational experience, promote innovative teaching, learning, and assessment methods, and better prepare our students for challenging careers and lifelong learning.
The Grant is directly aligned with the CHAS strategic priority of providing a holistic education that fosters excellence, drives innovation in teaching and learning, prepares competent graduates, and ensures an outstanding student experience.
Annual Teaching and Learning Showcase Event
The College of Health and Agricultural Sciences Education and Training Group is looking forward to planning another Teaching and Learning Showcase highlighting the best in innovative and interdisciplinary learning initiatives across the college.
The in-person event will take place in the Spring 2026. Further event details will follow in due course.
Teaching and Learning Awards
The Teaching and Learning awards aim to recognise the achievements of UCD faculty, staff, tutors, or demonstrators who make an outstanding contribution in the pursuit of teaching excellence and the enhancement of students’ learning, and to encourage sustained scholarly activity and research.
