Athena Swan Bronze Award for two CHAS schools

Two Schools from the College of Health and Agricultural Sciences have been awarded the Athena SWAN Bronze Award

CHAS are delighted to announce that both the UCD School of Agriculture and Food Science and the School of Veterinary Medicine have recieved the Athena SWAN Bronze Award in in recognition of their commitment to achieving gender equality.

There were four Schools, in total who recieved the awards. These four are the first in UCD to achieve the award for their commitment to transforming their culture and driving gender inclusion and diversity in general for their faculty, staff and students.

The other two Schools to recieve the award are the UCD School of Archaeology and the UCD School of Biomolecular and Biomedical Science.

The President of UCD, Andrew Deeks said that "The attainment of the Athena SWAN awards and associated Gender Equality Action Plans is an important contribution to the achievement of the University’s Strategic Objectives and the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion strategy."

The College of Health and Agricultural Sciences would like to congratulate all four Schools on their great achievement.
