Welcome to UCD Conferring!

Conferring ceremonies are joyous occasions when the University community assembles to honour its new graduates.

The role of UCD Conferring is to plan and organise the conferring ceremonies for over 8,000 graduates per annum. The conferring of degrees is a ceremony of special significance for the graduates, their families and friends, for the academic staff who have guided the graduates to their degrees, and for the many others who contribute to the life of University College Dublin. The ceremonies are great public occasions for the University, to which we welcome our guests who are visiting our campus, some perhaps for the first time.
