Research Pathology

Conway Fellow, (opens in a new window)Prof. Aurelie Fabre is a Consultant Histopathologist at (opens in a new window)St Vincent’s University Hospital, and Full Clinical Professor in UCD School of Medicine. Prof. Fabre directs the UCD Conway Research Pathology Core Laboratory, which is run by Janet McCormack, Senior Technical Officer with the assistance of Chris Evans, Technical Officer.

The facility provides automated immunohistochemistry with digital pathology services on frozen and formalin fixed paraffin–embedded human and animal tissue. We provide expert support for your tissue research—from antibody selection and multiplex staining to slide scanning and image analysis for biomarker insights.

Rigour and attention to detail ensured that our immunohistochemical staining was specific and artefact-free. This enabled quantitative morphometric analysis to assess treatment effects and correlation of immunohistochemical and transcriptomic data.
