The UCD Institute of Food and Health has a reputation for excellence in research, bringing together the best of UCD in the food and health space. Below is a selection of some of our research projects.

We have 66 Principal Investigators and their teams are drawn from across UCD for their multidisciplinary expertise in food and health research. We take a holistic approach to future-proofing global food systems, covering five key areas.

MyPlanetDiet is part of a wider four-year, multicentre project called SuHeGuide, which aims to develop sustainable healthy eating guidelines for adults living in Ireland.

RapidHort is a circular demonstration model based on Irish grown microgreens that will enhance the economic and environmental sustainability of horticultural food production.
