About Global Health Network

The goal of the UCD Global Health Network (GHN) is to contribute to UCD’s position as a leader in the Global North-South cooperation network by fostering the development of network that connects faculty, doctoral and post doc researchers, and students, working on issues related to Global Health across UCD. While a magnitude of staff has experience within this field there is no consolidated space related to Global Health.

Drawing on existing resources and aligned to other strategic partners within UCD, the GHN aims to foster inter-college, interdisciplinary collaborations and leverage international global health expertise. Aligned to the aforementioned goal, the objectives of the network are to

i) increase UCD’s international reputation as a hub in Global health;

ii) support and develop innovative teaching and learning activities around Global Health; and

iii) leverage internal, interdisciplinary research capacity for funding opportunities related to Global Health to address the UCD Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
