Dr. Brynne Gilmore

Brynne is an Assistant Professor (Ad Astra Fellow) in the School of Nursing, Midwifery & Health Systems and an MSCA Fellow. Her research focuses on using theory driven evaluation methodology to understand and improve health systems, specifically at the community level in low- and middle-income countries.

Dr. Naonori Kodate

Dr Nao Kodate is Associate Professor in Social Policy and founding Director of UCD Centre for Japanese Studies (UCD-JaSt). He holds a BA (International Relations) and LL.M from the University of Tokyo (Graduate School of Arts and Sciences / Graduate School of Law and Politics), MSc in European Politics and Policy, and a Ph.D in Political Science from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Dr. Krisna Ruette-Orihuela

Dr. Ruette-Orihuela is a Lecturer/Assistant professor at the School of Social Policy, Social Work and Social Justice, at UCD. My academic research focuses on the intersection of racial, ethnic, and gender identities, racism and anti-racism, transformative peacebuilding, territorial struggles, ethno-racial movements, state multiculturalism, social justice, and historical memory.

Professor Aisling Swaine

Aisling Swaine is Professor of Gender Studies in the School of Social Policy, Social Work and Social Justice, UCD. She holds a PhD in law from the Transitional Justice Institute, School of Law, Ulster University.

Dr. Purity Mwendwa

Dr. Mwendwa is an Irish Research Council (IRC) Post-doctoral fellow based in the School of Nursing Midwifery and Health Systems, UCD. My research interests lie in the field of global health and much of my work has focused on reviewing health policies and researching on the social determinants of health in the context of Africa.

Dr. Ernesto Vasquez del Aguila

Dr. Ernesto Vasquez del Aguila is a medical anthropologist, Assistant Professor and Ad Astra Fellow at the UCD School of Social Policy, Social Work and Social Justice. I have worked as a researcher and taught at under-graduate and post-graduate levels in a range of academic institutions across several countries, including: Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (Lima, Peru); Georgetown University (Washington, DC, USA), University of the Philippines-Diliman (Manila, the Philippines).
