Introduction
(opens in a new window)IMPAC3T-IP is a Horizon Europe initiative creating a practical, scenario-based IP licensing Toolbox and a certified (opens in a new window)user & trainer programme. It addresses intellectual property (IP) licensing changes with practical tools and targeted training. Designed for stakeholders across the IP value chain, it equips users with the skills and know-how to navigate today’s complex IP challenges.
NovaUCD is supporting the development and testing of tools that help researchers, technology transfer offices and partners turn knowledge assets into market uptake and societal value.

IMPAC3T-IP Academy
The (opens in a new window)IMPAC3T-IP Academy will offer a certified training program to establish a community of certified users and a pool of trainers who are confident to introduce and use the toolbox with their clients and colleagues. The Academy’s online access will provide training tools and videos to support rapid uptake and deployment in all three main scenarios and sub-scenarios.

Licensing Scenarios
The project focuses on three real-world licensing scenarios: (opens in a new window)Classical Plus, (opens in a new window)Co-creation, and (opens in a new window)Crisis. Each scenario pinpoints intervention points where templates, checklists and guidance reduce friction and improve outcomes across copyrights, data, software, know-how and other intellectual assets.
NovaUCD is contributing to the design, testing and uptake of the Toolbox and the associated certified training programme.
NovaUCD is working with UCD researchers and external partners to translate diverse IP outcomes into scalable licensing models that support both commercialisation and public benefit.
