What is happening:

This message is intended for users with the Duo Mobile App installed on their smart devices. Action is required before March 31, 2026.

Duo’s certificate authority (CA) bundle is expiring, which will affect older versions of Duo Mobile. The CA certificate will expire on March 31, 2026. To avoid disruption:

• Update Duo Mobile to the latest version via the iOS App Store or Google Play Store.

• On supported devices with auto-update enabled, updates occur automatically.

Important notes:

• Devices running unsupported operating systems (minimum supported: Android 11 and iOS 16) or devices that do not update Duo Mobile will lose Duo Push notifications after March 31, 2026.

• Users can still use Duo Mobile to generate passcodes for two-factor authentication.

• Duo Mobile versions released since April 2025 already include the new certificate bundle.

• Users who have disabled automatic updates or attempt to use an older version of Duo Mobile may experience MFA failures starting in spring 2026.
