300 transition year students from 5 schools across Ireland (OLM Drimnagh, Moyle Park, Ardgillan CC, Tallaght CS, Monkstown CBC) visited UCD in November for Think Languages Week.
We had some fantastic talks by final-year Erasmus students about their experience abroad for a year, in France, Germany, Spain and Italy. They were joined by multilingual Level 2 students answering questions about what it's like to study languages, and about the careers they envisage.
In addition students attended workshops trying out Arabic, Korean, Polish, Russian or Swahili and joined Chinese taster workshops in oral language and calligraphy.
