UCD CAO Round 2 offers

This morning UCD made CAO Round 2 offers on 25 degree programmes. Of the 120 offers made in Round 2, 56 brought students up to their CAO first preferences.

Points on 12 degrees at UCD have fallen from Round 1 CAO offers.  Points for DN400 Medicine, DN410 Radiography, DN600 Law and DN700 Social Sciences have dropped by 1 point from first round offers. Another eight have dropped between 2 and 16 points: 

• DN100 Architecture, DN130 City Planning & Environment, DN250 Agricultural Science, DN261 Food Science, DN420 Physiotherapy, DN451 Children’s & General Nursing, DN452 Midwifery, and DN453 Mental Health Nursing.

Only three degrees, DN650 Commerce at 498*, DN230 Actuarial and Financial Studies at 577* and DN401 Graduate entry Medicine at 59*, remain on random selection (down from 9 last year). With the exception of the new Graduate Entry to Radiography (DN411), there are no UCD degrees on AQA (All Qualified Applicants).

At this stage, a comparison of points to final round 2018 shows 20 degrees on higher points, 6 on the same points and 13 on lower points for 2019. Students offered places in round 2 have until 17.15 on Friday 30 August to accept their offers.
