SEFI Award for 3 SMME PhDs and a free smart-visor demo this evening here in the UCD Village

I thought you'd like to hear the good news that while we've been working away all this week in the PhD seminar here in the UCD Village, three of our PhDs and one of our former PhDs/Postdocs in Inclusive Design and Creative Technology Innovation (Eva Murphy, Mary Nolan and Mary Carden and Dr Colin Keogh) represented us well at SEFI in Finland, and won the award! 

Also, another of our PhDs (Joel Olympia) has an open innovation demonstration today (5:30 pm, 18th September) here in the Village for his sensory-reduction smartspecs for people with ADHD- the first prototype previously won the Dyson award, and this new version has backing from Enterprise Ireland. Two more Phds (Brandon Blacoe and John Burke) are shortlisted for EI awards too.
