Summer housing with leisure built-in
To complement our summer housing and internship housing, we have an extensive leisure and social programme in place for our guests each summer, including visits to a working Irish farm, lessons in our national game of hurling and traditional Irish dance classes.

We also organise wonderful, once-off events for our study abroad groups such as authentic Irish High Tea to help our guests mix with each other. And for groups who want to explore the social and cultural life of Dublin, we recommend the best places to visit including a host of free admission museums and galleries, along with traditional Irish music sessions.

Sporting facilities make your summer student accommodation even more enjoyable

For our Study Abroad groups, UCD offers a wealth of sports and leisure facilities to satisfy even the most demanding of sports enthusiasts. With over 325 acres to explore, the UCD campus is an absolute haven for walkers or joggers with over five miles of woodland walkway around the perimeter of the campus. In addition, we offer a host of free to attend classes through our on-campus sports centre, including Pilates, yoga, and TRX. Summer housing is just the start of it

There are also numerous grass and synthetic sports pitches on the campus for our summer housing guests, along with tennis courts and Ireland’s national hockey stadium, which has hosted a number of prestigious European and international competitions.

Fancy making a splash?

The state-of-the-art Olympic swimming pool and tepidarium are truly world class facilities. The Olympic pool is 50 metres long, which caters for a large number of water activities.

Gym bunnies, we’ve got you covered!

The modern, well-equipped gymnasium offers everything from weight training and racket sports to basketball and wall-climbing.

We also have a campus cinema in the UCD Student Centre which is a modern multimedia venue with the added comfort of a cinema environment. With 86 seats, the cinema provides a fantastic space suitable for film screenings, presentations, and lectures.
