UCD in the Community are currently offering two ways in which you can practice mindfulness: Mindful Mondays and Introduction to Mindfulness 5 week course

Introduction to Mindfulness

The course will be run by Aoife Fitzgerald, Msc Mindfulness-Based Interventions, UCD in the Community.

Mindful Mondays

All UCD staff are welcome to come along. Some Mindfulness or meditation experience would be helpful but not necessary. Although this is not a mindfulness class, there will be some time at the end for questions.
We will come together online as a group and you are welcome to have your camera on or off - whatever feels most comfortable. Aoife Fitzgerald will guide a live mindfulness meditation for the group each week. There is no requirement to book in advance, just turn up.

Continuning from the success of the December mindful Mondays, Aoife Fitzgerald will continue to offer live guided meditation online on Monday evenings from 8.30pm - 9pm starting Monday 9th January 2023. Classes are offered on a "drop in" basis with the idea that this would be a slot in the week for you to step out of the 'doing mode' and join a group online for 30 minutes of mindfulness with no expectation to attend every week. 

It is known that we need to keep a regular practice in order to strengthen the muscle of the mind but sustaining a practice on our own can be quite challenging. Many people find it supportive to practice as part of a weekly group, though finding time can be tricky. This is an opportunity to give structure and support to your practice without the need to travel outside of your home. Whether you have fallen off the practice wagon, or maybe you just want to support or enhance your current practice, this might work well for you.

Mindfulness for Life

Take time to slow down on Wednesday's in March and first Wednesday in April, and join Aoife Fitzgerald for an in person, mindfulness for life course. 

Step away from the inevitable highs and lows of life and practice mindfulness during this 1.5 hour in person session from 7.30 - 9.00pm on the 15th, 22nd and 29th March and again on the 5th April. 

Places are limited and will be offered on a first come, first served basis. Please contact Aoife Fitzgerald on aoife.fitzgerald@ucd.ie for further information. 

Mindfulness for Life will run in person on the following Wednesday's during March: 15th, 22nd and 29th and again on 5th April from 7.30 - 9.00pm. 

The course will take place on UCD Campus. Further details about the space will be sent to participants before the course begins.
