The aim of this project is to unite two fields of contemporary scholarship: the study of youth, and the study of language preservation.

Taking the Irish, Welsh and Catalan languages as primary case studies, it examines the intersection between European youth and the preservation of minority or regional European languages in the period since 1900.

This project has received funding from the European Research Council (ERC) under the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme (grant agreement no. 802695). For the most recent updates, please follow our Twitter account: @LanguagesYouth
