IWA World Congress on Water, Climate and Energy in Dublin, May 13th -18th 2012

The International Water Association ((opens in a new window)www.iwahq.org) will hold its first World Congress on Water, Climate and Energy in Dublin between May 13th and 18th in 2012. It will be based in the National Conference Centre in the centre of Dublin and will involve technical sessions, workshops and project meetings interspersed with keynote speeches from distinguished academics, policy makers and water professionals. Designed to promote collaborative thought and analysis at the interfaces between Water and Energy issues and Climate Change and all their consequences, a broad range of topics has been provided.

Over 1000 delegates are expected. The UCD Centre for Water Resources Research (CWRR) is closely associated the Congress and the Scientific Committee is chaired by its Director, Prof. Michael Bruen, and includes a number of members of staff from UCD’s School of Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering.
