Appointment of Associate Professor Christine Linehan as Chair of the International League against Epilepsy’s Task Force on Intellectual Disabilities 2022-2025.

The Centre is delighted to announce the appointment of Director Christine Linehan as Chair of the (opens in a new window)International League Against Epilepsy’s Task Force on Intellectual Disabilities for the period 2022-2025.  Christine has been member of this Task Force for the periods 2014-2017 and 2018-2021.

The International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE) was founded in 1909 and includes representation from over 120 national chapters. It is the world's preeminent association of health professionals and scientists working toward a world where no person's life is limited by epilepsy. The Intellectual Disability Task Force aims to create awareness and conduct research addressing the specific needs of individuals with intellectual disability who have epilepsy. Christine is a co-author of the Task Force’s ‘White Paper on the Medical and Social Needs of People with Epilepsy and Intellectual Disability’.
