Minister Heydon visits UCD Lyons Farm
Martin Heydon T.D., Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine with responsibility for Research & Development, Farm Safety visited UCD Lyons Farm on 15th June.
Following a short presention by Prof. Frank. Monahan, Dean and Head of School, UCD School of Agriculture and Food Science and Prof. Alex Evans, Chair UCD Lyons Management Committee Minister Heydon received a tour of the farm including a visit to the UCD Dairy Parlour, and the Long Terms Grazing Platform where extensive research on MultiSpecies Swards is taking place.
Minister Heydon also met with a number of staff and students conducting research across a variety of Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine funded projects.
