The UCD alumni network is filled with individuals making a significant difference across all levels and sectors, from business and industry to healthcare, science, culture, sport and the arts.

With a global network of over 323,000 alumni in 184 countries, the UCD Alumni Awards celebrate the remarkable achievements of our distinguished alumni and their far-reaching impact. Their accomplishments and successes are a source of immense pride to UCD, inspiring current and future generations of students, and recognising and showcasing the impact UCD alumni continue to have on our world.

Niamh Tallon and Mohammed Mahomed | Her Sport

UCD graduates Niamh Tallon and Mohammed Mahomed founded the social enterprise Her Sport in 2020. They are on a mission to tackle the systemic barriers that discourage women and girls from participating in sport, and to create a world where every girl knows she belongs in sport.

Having worked closely together in the biotech space for a number of years, UCD alumnus and entrepreneur Mark O'Neill and Dr Moayed Hamza are now on a mission to build an Irish-headquartered, global pharma company with significant impact, HAON.

Megan O'Neill

Irish singer-songwriter Megan O'Neill has released three EPs and two albums to date, with new music currently in production. Megan's music has been featured on major TV shows such as Netflix's Firefly Lane and ABC's Nashville, and she has performed twice on RTE's Late Late Show.
