Sinead Kerins retires

On Thursday, 20th June, we gathered outside Belfield House to celebrate the retirement of our beloved Chief Technical Officer, Sinead Kerins.
Sinead began her UCD journey in 1980 as a Technical Officer and has been a mentor and leader, shaping countless engineers with her humour, creativity, and technical expertise. Colleagues and friends, some travelling from across Ireland and overseas, joined for a lively barbecue and drinks to honour her remarkable 44-year career! The warm afternoon was filled with laughter, fond memories, and heartfelt toasts, as everyone shared the joy of this special occasion.
While Sinead’s departure marks the end of an era for the school, it also signals the beginning of an exciting new chapter. As a proud Dubliner who loves travel, rugby, and community activism, we all look forward to seeing Sinead embrace her well-deserved retirement with as much passion and enthusiasm as she has always shown in her career.
