Entry Requirements

Places in the MSc. in Medical Physics will be offered to candidates with a strong foundation in basic physics, as demonstrated by the achievement of an undergraduate degree in Physics or a degree in an Engineering discipline with a coursework component equivalent to a minor in Physics. A minimum of an upper second-class honours (II-1) or equivalent will be normally required for entry, although students with a strong physics background and a lower second class honours degree may be accepted after review.

Although not required, some experience in basic programming would be beneficial.

Applicants whose first language is not English must also demonstrate English language proficiency of IELTS 6.5 (no band less than 6.0 in each element), or equivalent, such as TOEFL (iBT) score of 90 or PTE score of 63. Applicants with an IELTS score of at least 5.5 may apply to a pre-masters option which provides a route to the MSc. after one year.
