Stage One Landscape Architecture

UCD Landscape Architecture is a four-year Level 8 BSc (Landscape Architecture) Degree Programme.

Stage One of the Landscape Architecture programme is made up of a combination of landscape studio (design, drawing and model making based in your studio) and lecture programmes (theoretical material). Project work is taught in the Landscape studios through a combination of individual tuition, field trips, group tutorials, large reviews and exhibitions. Lecture-based modules are taught through a combination of lectures, tutorials and laboratory offerings.

Stage One Module Choices

In the autumn trimester of this year, you will study a fixed set of four core modules. In the spring trimester, you will study a fixed set of two core modules, and you will have to choose one Option module and one Elective module. The only other decisions you have to make are to choose suitable times for your laboratory and tutorial sessions.

Option Modules

For the Spring trimester, you must choose one Option module from the recommended list.

Elective Modules

For the Spring trimester, you may choose one Elective module from anywhere in UCD, provided you meet any entry requirements, there is space in the modules, and the modules fit your timetable.
