UCD CIGRE Ireland Final Year Project Award

The UCD CIGRE Ireland Final Year Project Award was presented today to (opens in a new window)Saoirse Fletcher Dunne by (opens in a new window)Hamid Reza Shokrani, Chair of the CIGRE Ireland Next Generation Network Committee.
The day included an introduction to CIGRE and a presentation by NGN Treasurer (opens in a new window)Chandira Prabu Jinachandran on his involvement with CIGRE and his role as an electrical engineer in the energy industry.
The award, organised by CIGRE and the (opens in a new window)University College Dublin School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, celebrates the outstanding talent emerging from our universities.
Saoirse received the award for her project: “Impacts and Challenges of a High Share of Solar PV on the All-Island Power System”, supervised by Dr. (opens in a new window)Damian Flynn.
