Everyone had a great time yesterday running our RoboRugby 2025 competition. This event caps off the module EEEN10020 'Robotics Design Project'.

Since January, seventeen teams of first-year engineering students have been learning C++, debugging Arduinos, and getting creative with their Lego kits.

Yesterday, their robots collided to capture balls on our gameplay table, working through a single elimination tournament and seeking a top prize of €450!

It's always a fun event towards the end of a busy trimester in (opens in a new window)UCD EngArch. There was a great vibe in the lab yesterday and we were delighted to have the support of (opens in a new window)Infineon Technologies to fund our prizes. It was great to have (opens in a new window)Jack M. and co along on the day to help present these. Thanks also to (opens in a new window)Marcus Swift and (opens in a new window)Sebastian Kowalski.

Bravo to the winners:
