We provide the following systems and reporting that supports the work of the Assessment team in UCD Registry.
External Examiners Management
The Extern Examiners management system enables users in schools and colleges to record details of proposed subject and special external examiners. The system is complemented by a suite of reports to facilitate the approval of examiners by graduate school boards and by the Academic Council Committee on Examinations. In addition, the system is used by Subject Extern Examiners themselves to submit their annual report. This service is located in the Assessment & Grading menu under the Students tab in Infohub.

We provide a range of tools to support grade entry and review. Faculty can upload grades from a spreadsheet, can transfer them from Brightspace, or can enter them directly into the Faculty Grade Entry screens. In addition, reporting is provided for the module coordinator and at the school level and programme level to help manage the grading process, highlighting the outstanding grades and enabling the formal signoff of grades at school and programme level. This functionality is accessed in the Assessment & Grading menu under the Students tab in InfoHub.

Examination logistics involve the scheduling of UCD examinations and then providing reporting on them. The scheduling of exams is done on the Exams Manager system, from which data is drawn to enable a personalised exam timetable to be presented to students via SISWeb.

Examination Paper Management
Exams Manager, accessible via the Exams Manager icon in UCD Connect is the UCD approved system for creating, approving and publishing exam papers. It provides an end-to-end secure system to manage the university’s examination papers, a lean workflow for review, tracking, and publishing of examination papers, a high level of consistency in look and feel of examination papers and clear instructions for students, and reporting to facilitate management and oversight of the process
The past examination paper archive is available to students via the Registration, Fees & Assessment menu in SISWeb, and to staff via the Assessment & Grading menu in the Students tab in InfoHub.

Research Student Management (including eThesis)
This is an end-to-end system to facilitate the management and support of research students - ensuring their progress through their programme and facilitating the upload and review of their thesis. The system is accessed by students themselves, as well as exam committees, administrators in School and Colleges, and the Graduate Studies and Assessment functions.
