Research Management

We provide a range of services delivered through InfoHub and the UCD Research Management System (RMS) that support the Research functions in UCD.

Internal & Seed Funding Management

This is an end-to-end service from submission of an internal or seed funding proposal by a student/academic, through to the assessment and approval phases, and onto the final step of creating the grant registration record for successful applicants. It is one of the modules within the RMS Grants system, but will only be presented when there is an internal funding call open.

Proposals Management

This service provides a facility for UCD Research to record details of proposal submitted by UCD academics to external funding bodies and industry partners in response to a call for funding opportunities. It is located within the RMS Grants System in InfoHub.

Grant Registration & Reporting

The Grant Registration service enables UCD academics to submit their funded research details online for approval by the schools/colleges, UCD Finance & UCD Research resulting in their account and associated budgets being setup on the Finance system ready for use within their research project.

The Grant Reporting service enables project owners to view and manage their portfolio of funded research grants and provides easy access to information such as team members, project details and budgets, including real-time financial expenditure.

For more information on research-related reporting services in InfoHub, see our Analytics & Reporting page.

Research Ethics Management

Research projects involving animals or humans are subject to research ethics approval. The Research Ethics Management service, located within the Research tab in InfoHub, allows researchers to record their research ethics submissions and related documentation online for review and approval by the Research Ethics Committee.

Online Fellowships Management

This service enables people outside UCD to submit a Fellowship application, together with supporting documentation, for review and approval as part of a defined Fellowship call. The Energy 21 fellowship managed by UCD Research is such an example. Online Fellowships Management is located within the Research tab in InfoHub.
