Judith Evers

Judith holds a degree in veterinary medicine from Leipzig University, Germany, and completed her PhD on sacral neuromodulation at University College Dublin. She studies deep brain stimulation for Parkinson's Disease in rodents. Her work focuses on changes in the electrode-tissue interface of stimulation electrodes which affects efficacy and the implementation of closed-loop stimulation, where the applied stimulation adapts to current symptom severity. She has recently established a Parkinson's model in rats in the lab to test new closed-loop stimulation algorithms.
