Movember 2023

Move or Grow to Save a Bro

It's baaack!!

Last year, in 2022, a team of UCD School of Public Health, Physiotherapy and Sports Science students, staff, researchers and friends took part in Movember where we had some fun, grew some hair, got some exercise and raised awareness and funds for men's health.

This year, we're doing it all again and we'd love you to join us!

All you have to do is either

  • Grow a mo; and/or
  • Move 60kms during November

We'll track the team's progress on (opens in a new window)X, (opens in a new window)Instagram and (opens in a new window)ie.movember.com so everyone can join in the fun.

Join us at (opens in a new window)ie.movember.com or scan:

The Rules (there are only a few)

  • We're looking for Mo Bros and Mo Sistas to join our team! You can either Move and/or Grow, the choice is yours.
    • Move: Run, walk, swim or roll 60km over the month for the 60 men we lose to suicide every hour across the world; or
    • Grow: Grow a moustache... your face will raise funds and awareness for men’s health.
  • Please join our team by signing up as an individual at (opens in a new window)ie.movember.com and then join the UCD School of Public Health, Physiotherapy and Sports Science team (team ID: 2428788). You can use the QR code above too.
  • For those who choose to Move…
    • Hit it fast, take it slow, run solo, roll your way, join a team, go outside or jump on a treadmill. Just aim to move 60kms during Movember.
  • For those who choose to Grow…
    • Start clean-shaven at the start of the month – take a pic!
    • For the entire month of Movember, each Mo Bro must grow and groom a moustache.
    • Don’t fake it. No beards, no goatees and no fake moustaches.
    • Use the power of the moustache to create conversation and raise funds for men’s health.
    • Each Mo Bro must conduct himself like a true gentleman.

“Look after your mo, and your mo will look after you”.
