This programme focuses on the principles of development, management, organisation and administration of the sport and exercise industry at the local and international level. Included is a 10-week structured work placement within the sports industry. The BSc Sport & Exercise Management programme is delivered on a full-time basis over 3 years.
The BSc Sport and Exercise Management programme in UCD was perfect for me. The course includes a wide variety of modules and it was so interesting to gain a deeper understanding of the sports industry from a business perspective. After graduation I applied for the ASPIRE Graduate Employment Programme with Sport Ireland where I got the opportunity to work with the Irish Judo Association. I am still working there almost two years later as its Marketing and Communications Administrator. This course gave me all the tools I needed to
start my role and hit the ground running. It is ideal if you have a passion for sports and envision a career in the sports industry in the future.

I chose to study the BSc Sport and Exercise Management programme as it combined my love for sport with business. The range of subjects covered in this course provided me with an excellent basis for working within the sports industry. The work placement was an invaluable way to put the knowledge and skills I gained in the first two years into practice. After graduating I was delighted to secure a position on the Sport Ireland ASPIRE Graduate Employment Programme where I worked with Cycling Ireland. Since finishing the graduate programme I have taken on a full-time role within the National Governing Body in its Marketing Department.
