Applications to the Professional Programmes in University Teaching and Learning starting in January 2026 will be open from 29th September to 17th November.
UCD Teaching and Learning will hold a short 40 minute Online information session on Thursday 23rd October at 13:00 regarding the Professional Programmes University Teaching and Learning starting in January 2026. This is a good opportunity to meet the team who can answer any questions you may have about the programmes or the modules on offer.
The programmes are designed for UCD Faculty and academic-related teaching staff. The modules available are Assessment & Feedback in Higher Education, Teaching Across Cultures and Active Learning with Technology (Spring trimester 2026) and Reflective Practice in T&L, Designing Curricula and a new module Contemporary Matters (in T&L) in HE (Autumn trimester 2026).
One can apply to either the Certificate of CPD which requires the completion of a single module (7.5 ECTS) in the Spring trimester, or the Professional Certificate which requires the completion of two modules (15 ECTS), one in the Spring trimester and one the following Autumn trimester.
Upon completion of the Professional Certificate, two further modules can be undertaken for the award of a Professional Diploma, University Teaching and Learning, which carries a credit volume of 30 ECTS.
