Alan Morgan Recognised with Prestigious University Award for Learning Excellence

Alan Morgan, Entrepreneurial Specialist at the UCD Innovation Academy, has been honoured with the University Award for Exceptional Contribution to Learning. In his role, Alan designs and delivers a Masters-level programme that empowers educators at UCD and internationally to reimagine and transform their teaching practice.

A passionate educator, Alan champions creative, reflective, and entrepreneurial approaches to learning. He leads by example, supporting colleagues in developing innovative mindsets, reconnecting with their vocation, and embracing new pedagogical methods. 

Alan is widely recognised for promoting reflective teaching and leadership practices - key elements in preparing educators to navigate the evolving landscape of higher education. Programme participants have praised his teaching as both ‘meaningful and impactful,’ while also valuing the strong mentorship and peer networking opportunities built into the programme.

In recognition of his wider influence, Alan was also named 2024 European Entrepreneurial Leader of the Year in Higher Education at the prestigious Triple E Awards in Lisbon.
