UCD students can book a 1-on-1 consultation with our experienced Careers Consultants through the (opens in a new window)MyCareer portal. Recent graduates (up to two years after graduation) can book an appointment by emailing (opens in a new window)careers@ucd.ie.
NOTE! Appointments go live every day at 8am (Mon - Friday) for that day and the following day. For example, on Monday at 8am you can book in for Monday and Tuesday appointments slots.
Depending on where you are based (Belfield or Smurfit), and whether you are pursuing a taught programme or a research programme (PhD), we offer different appointment options (see below)
If you are a UCD student based on the Belfield campus, or a recent graduate (up to two years after graduation), you can book a 20-minute 1-on-1 consultation with one of our Belfield-based Career & Skills Consultants. Appointments can be booked through your (opens in a new window)MyCareer portal.

Please note: during peak periods (generally weeks 1 to 7 of trimesters 1 and 2 but this is subject to change), current UCD students are given priority access to 1-on-1 consultations and only a limited number of appointments are available to graduates.

If you are a Smurfit Graduate School of Business student or recent graduate, (opens in a new window)you can make a 30 minute consultation appointment with one of the Smurfit Careers Network team, based on the Blackrock campus.
Current and recently graduated (up to two years) UCD Graduate Researchers (PhDs and Research Masters students) can book sixty-minute, confidential one-to-one session with Tara Hughes (Career and Skills Consultant for Graduate Researchers). They normally take place in the Careers Network offices beside the James Joyce Library or online via Zoom. Tara can also visit specific Schools or buildings on request.
