Appointment Options
If you are a UCD student based on the Belfield campus, you can book a 1-on-1 consultation with one of our Belfield-based Career & Skills Consultants. Appointments can be booked through your (opens in a new window)MyCareer portal.
There are two kinds of appointments available:
- Advice on Applications & Interview Preparation (20 minutes)
- Get advice on an application
- Review your CV & Cover Letter
- Prepare for an Interview
- Improve your LinkedIn profile
- Career Consultations (30 minutes)
- Talk about your career options
- Make a plan for your next steps
- Cover anything else career-related
Before Your Appointment
To ensure you get the most out of your time with a Careers Consultant, please click the 'Show More' button below and follow these instructions.
- In-person appointments take place in either the Careers Network offices (beside the James Joyce Library) or in Room 123 in UCD Village. Please watch (opens in a new window)this video for guidance on how to get to each location.
- Please arrive at your in-person appointment and notify reception at least 10 minutes before the starting time.
- To ensure we are able to serve the student body effectively, please cancel any appointments at least 1 hour in advance.
- Please ensure your CV & Cover Letter is uploaded during booking or sent via an email to your consultant.
- If you require any reasonable accommodations, please request them through the 'Notes' option in the booking process.
- If you have booked an online appointment, it is your responsibility to find a quiet space, with strong internet access, to take the appointment in.
- Please ensure your camera is turned on for your online appointment.
- These appointments are confidential between the student and consultant. As such, please ensure there are no other people present during your online appointment.
