EDI Coffee mornings and get togethers
The School's EDI Committee organises Coffee mornings once a month. All students and staff are welcomed to join in for a cuppa and chat.
In 2022, SCBE Staff and research students joined together in December to celebrate the festive season and share customs and foods of the different nationalities represented in the school.
Promoting Women in Engineering
The School, with the support of the EDI group of the UCD College of Engineering and Architecture, is celebrating International Women's Day in Engineering 2023 with an event showcasing career pathways of women in engineering and their contributions to the field. The event is open to female PhD students and will take place on 23rd June 2023. Students can register using the link below:
Outreach Events
The students and staff actively take part in outreach events outside of the University. They have taken part in events such as (opens in a new window)Soapbox Science, (opens in a new window)Pint of Science and the (opens in a new window)ESB Science Blast.
