Professor Jeffrey Braithwaite, Professor of Health Systems Research, Macquarie University, Australia gave a public lecture on

Wednesday 27th March 2019 at 14:00 in University Industry Centre, UCD John Hume Institute for Global Irish Studies (William Jefferson Clinton Auditorium), University College Dublin, Belfield, Dublin 4.

Prof Braithwaite talked about the complexity of health systems, using the New South Wales health system as an example, and how complexity theories could be used as a framework when analysing health-related outcomes.

Collective Leadership and Safety Cultures (Co-Lead) is a 5-year programme in UCD that is researching the impact of an emerging model of leadership (collective leadership) on team performance and healthcare safety.

We are designing and implementing collective leadership interventions for different team types and testing the impact of these interventions on staff performance and patient safety.
