183 high-achieving students honoured at UCD Global Excellence Scholarships Event
Recipients of prestigious international scholarships at UCD have been honoured at the UCD Global Excellence Scholarships Event 2025-26.
This year, UCD welcomed 183 international scholarship recipients, representing 45 different nationalities.
The event included a ceremony with an address from the (opens in a new window)UCD Vice President for Global Engagement, Professor Dolores O’Riordan. Scholarship recipients were each presented with a certificate.
Recipients of the following scholarships were celebrated:
- UCD Global Excellence Scholarship
UCD offers this prestigious scholarship to a limited number of international students on the non-EU tuition fee rate. - (opens in a new window)Ireland Fellows Programme
This government-funded programme offers people from around the world the opportunity to spend one year studying in Ireland. - Government of Ireland Scholarships
A prestigious scholarship for non-EU/non-EEA students in Ireland. There are 60 places awarded across all Irish Higher Education Institutions each year. - HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn of Thailand Scholarship
Funded by HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn and UCD, this programme offers Thai candidates the opportunity to study for a Master’s degree. - (opens in a new window)Fulbright US Student Award
Part of a larger staff and student mobility programme run by the U.S. Department of State and the Fulbright Commission. The overall programme sees staff and students from both Ireland and the U.S. travel on funded programmes. - LPDP-UCD Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to high-achieving Indonesian students interested in pursuing Master's studies at UCD in strategic fields aligned with Indonesia's development priorities. - Aryabhata Science Scholarship
Newly established this year, this award offers high-achieving students from India seeking to study undergraduate Science at UCD a tuition fee waiver of 50-100%. - UCD Foundation Scholarship
This scholarship is designed to support high-achieving students from Gaza whose education has been disrupted to continue their studies at UCD.
