Target Calculations Form

This form is used to verify that adjustments to Budget Targets relating to pay are correctly calculated.

Central Finance staff calculate the cost of the staff plan next year using next year's pay rates and these values are shown alongside this year's costs so that FMs can ensure that revised costs seem reasonable. It is not ecpected that FMs will perform detailed verification of every line item, just that they will review and confirm that the scale seems reasonable, given the known pay award amounts and timing.

Central Finance Office staff manage which versions are used for this exercise - usually the source verison is Final and the revised calculations are displayed in the Target Calc version. A Variance and a Variance % is calculated for each line.
