Apply now for the 2024 NICE programme

Applications for the 2024 NICE Programme are now open, closing on Monday 5 February 2024.

What is the NICE Programme?

The Network for Intercultural Competence to facilitate Entrepreneurship (NICE) is a 12-week virtual exchange programme designed to prepare students for the reality of working in increasingly global and virtual workplaces.

Students develop intercultural and entrepreneurial skills by completing interactive online modules, working in multicultural virtual teams, participating in facilitated group meetings, and developing innovative business ideas connected to relevant global challenges.

The programme aims to provide an international experience for students who may have not yet been able to go abroad, have specialised learning requirements, or don’t have time to go away for long periods of time.

Applications are open to students at any level however students must ensure that the Programme will not interfere with the commitments of their main programme of study. Students on some programmes will be required to secure permission from programme managers before accepting a place on the programme.

Interested students should read the information on the UCD NICE page and apply here by 23:59 PM on Monday 5 February.

NICE team facilitators

Applications for team facilitators are also currently open. Students who have previously completed the NICE programme or staff members at UCD and other participating universities are eligible to apply. The role is not remunerated, but it is an excellent professional development opportunity for staff and students looking to gain training and experience in team facilitation

If you are interested in applying as a facilitator, please visit the NICE website to find out more.
